2026 – 2027 Season

Belonging, in Every Voice

From the first rehearsal the day after Labor Day to the final chord at Cadogan Hall, every gathering this year is built to widen the circle and make room at the table.

About this season

Everyone belongs here

Our 2026–2027 season is built around one conviction: everyone belongs here. Every gathering on this calendar is designed to widen the circle, to make room at the table, and to let people find themselves in the work of making art together.

Open Circle Arts is more than a name. It is a promise about who this organization is for — and this year, four tracks weave that promise across the seasons, from neighborhood sings and quiet mornings of breath to two concerts at home and a journey to London.

Two concerts at home

Each concert carries a clear theme and a built-in invitation for the audience to belong — not simply to observe.

Winter Concert

Gather In

Sunday, December 13, 2026 · 4:00 PM · Location TBD

The longest nights of the year as a season of welcome. As the daylight shrinks, the music opens outward — songs of light, hospitality, and homecoming. The concert closes with a community verse the audience sings together, so that no one in the hall is only a spectator.

Spring Concert

A Vision [Still] Unfolding

Sunday, May 16, 2027 · 4:00 PM · Location TBD

The heart of the season — justice and belonging — shared at home before it travels abroad. Harmony Collected presents repertoire akin to Kyle Pederson's A Vision Unfolding, an acknowledgement that the work still continues.

Common Breath

A monthly place to arrive and belong

Common Breath is this season's series of embodied mindfulness, creativity, and meditation — part of our Embodied Creativity program. Eight sessions run October through May, most on Saturday mornings, with a few timed to community moments like the Spirit & Place festival and the Irvington Luminaria.

Each session blends grounded breathwork, gentle movement, vocalizations, and shared silence. No experience is needed, every body and ability is welcome, and there is nothing to perform — simply a place to arrive, settle, and be.

Doors wide open

Four gatherings lower the barrier to entry and invite the whole neighborhood to make, sing, and belong.

Open Doors

Our Season Preview Party & Community Sing. An evening to fellowship, meet new folk, and learn about the year ahead — a light meal, a few songs, and the season's first, simplest invitation: come as you are.

Oct 30, 2026

Many Hands

A collaborative, all-ages art-making day timed to Irvington's Halloween Festival weekend. Together the community builds one large piece — many hands on a single work — that grows across the season.

Stories of Belonging

An intergenerational storytelling and song circle held during Black History Month, lifting up neighborhood voices across generations, woven together with music.

Apr 24, 2027

Porch & Park

Spring brings the music outside. Small ensembles perform on porches and in pocket parks across the near east side, carrying the season into the streets so belonging is something neighbors stumble into.

Saturday, March 6, 2027 · 6:00 PM

The Open Circle Gala

A night for the whole community to celebrate, to honor the people who built this organization, and to raise the funds that send Harmony Collected to London and sustain our practices of belonging.

  • Dinner and a featured performance by Harmony Collected
  • A fund-a-need moment for the London residency and community programming
  • A silent auction and storytelling from voices across the circle
  • A range of giving levels and community-rate tickets, so the room reflects the whole neighborhood

The season travels to London

The year gathers to a single point at Cadogan Hall. Harmony Collected joins Vox Anima London for the UK premiere of Kyle Pederson's A Vision Unfolding — a work on social justice set to texts by poet Shanelle Gabriel, guest-conducted by G. Phillip Shoultz III of VocalEssence.

A six-night residency runs June 12–18, with the concert on Thursday, June 17 — the culmination of the season and the journey of a lifetime.
