Community Choir

Harmony Collected

A non-auditioned community choir in Indianapolis, rooted in belonging. Each week, we gather to choose community through shared song.

Upcoming season

Belonging, in every voice

Our 2026–2027 season begins this September, and we'd love to have you join us. No audition. No experience needed.

Sept 1

Opening Gathering

Tuesday, September 1 at 6:30 PM

Sept 8

First Rehearsal of the Season

Tuesday, September 8 at 6:30 PM

Both events take place at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Ave.

Our Opening Gathering is a time of food, fun, and sharing. It allows us to kick off the season, to be introduced to season themes and repertoire, and to meet new members of our community. It also gives new folks a chance to meet our returning choir members and to sing with us a little bit, with no pressure or obligation. And as a reminder, Harmony Collected is non-auditioned — no experience is needed to join!

Our First Rehearsal kicks off our Belonging, in every voice season. Rehearsals are every Tuesday evening from 6:30–8:30 PM, held in the choir room at Irvington Presbyterian Church. We are a secular organization that welcomes folks of all faiths, or no faith at all. We are thankful to the community that is Irvington Presbyterian for allowing us to use their facilities at no cost to us.

Our season culminates in Harmony Collected traveling to sing in London, England in June 2027 — and our newest members are most welcome to join us. More info about this trip will be posted closer to the beginning of the season. Traveling to London is not required; you are most welcome to join us for the season even if London isn't in the cards for you.

You'll note that Irvington Arts Collective — of which Harmony Collected is a part — is changing its name to Open Circle Arts. More info about that change will be coming at the beginning of the season as well.

We'd love to have you join us for our 2026–2027 season. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

More than a concert

A weekly gathering, not just a rehearsal

While we care deeply about musical excellence, our rehearsals are more than preparation for a concert. They are a weekly gathering of people choosing community through shared song.

We believe every singer brings something meaningful to the room — regardless of background, experience, identity, or income.

Harmony Collected is not a traditional community choir. Our primary work is creating a space where people are seen, welcomed, and valued.

No barriers to belonging

Open to all, by design

Harmony Collected is non-auditioned, open to all, and committed to removing barriers to participation.

We offer reduced or waived fees for singers for whom cost would make participation difficult, because belonging should never depend on someone's ability to pay.

Every voice has a place

Harmony Collected welcomes singers 16 and older — no audition, no experience required. If you love to sing, or you've always wanted to try, there's a chair waiting for you.

We sing music that matters: repertoire chosen for beauty and for its power to build a more connected, more just community.

What to expect

Inside the circle

Weekly rehearsals

We meet Tuesday evenings at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 6:30–8:30 PM, to learn, connect, and sing together.

Belonging first

Our primary work is creating a room where people are seen, welcomed, and valued — exactly as they are.

Music for good

We sing toward social, environmental, and restorative justice, and we take that song out into the community.

Big news for 2027

We're taking our song to London

In June 2027, forty of our singers travel to England for the London premiere of Kyle Pederson's A Vision Unfolding — the journey of a lifetime, and a chance to represent Indianapolis on an international stage.
